How are you all today?
I’ve currently been testing out the liquid foundation from Younique. I have seen the videos of women able to cover tattoos with it, and really angry looking acne. It seems like a miracle product.
I get a fair bit of redness in my skin, which can get really annoying, and I try to buy foundations with a medium to full coverage finish; but I also love dewier finishes. I feel healthier with this sort of finish (even well I feel completely lousy).
The Touch Mineral Foundation retails at £30, and comes in a glass dropper bottle. It reminds me a lot of the Smashbox BB Water Foundation, which had a smilar layout. It is available in 13 shades, ranging from fair to dark, and cool to warm tones. It’s quite varied and will have a shade for most people.
On the website, Younique states:
This smooth, full coverage foundation goes on liquid and dries to a soft, powdery finish while optical diffusers blur imperfections and minimize wrinkles and pores. No touch-ups necessary.
I have used this on most days since receiving my bottle of foundation. I wear Velour at the moment, although I could wear Organza when I loose my Summer skin. I tend to apply 5 drops onto my brush and blend this all over my face. This is enough for a medium coverage finish. I have never needed to apply more than this. Concealers do melt really easily with it and it doesn’t leave weird patches on my skin when I try to blend it out.
This does look beautiful on the skin. I get quite dry skin in the Summer, and it doesn’t cling to my dry patches or enhance them. It gives the impression of healthy looking skin. I can’t really comment on the minimization of pores; I don’t really have issues with that, but it does help blur out the fine lines around my eyes in quite a natural way.
As for no touch ups. On some days this does wear away like any foundation would. We’ve had a heat wave in the UK over the past few weeks, and no matter what foundation I wore, it didn’t survive. However, on a normal day in normal everyday conditions this lasts surprisingly well, up to six to eight hours. When it wears away, it wears away naturally, and doesn’t leave weird pilling on your face. I really love it.
If you’re a fan of Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation, you will love this. The finish is very similar, but it doesn’t apply as oily as the Bare Minerals one. It has a lovely satin finish.
What are your thoughts on this foundation if you have tried it?
