How are you all today?
Today, I wanted to share some of my current favorites from the past couple of months. Some are definitely more recent, but I’ve used them long enough to know that I do enjoy using them.
So without further adieu let’s get onto the favourites, as there are a fair few!
Gucci Bamboo Perfume
I received this as a present for Christmas and it is such a beautiful, fresh scent. It’s perfect for everyday use and smells amazing. I can spritz this in the morning, and you can still smell it in the evening. I absolutely love it!
Younique Beachfront Bronzer
This is my second compact of this bronzer; I love it a lot! I currently have the shade Malibu, which is a tad bit dark for me, so on payday, I will be going back to Sunset, but I do love how this applies. It looks really natural and blends out so well. There is glitter in this, but once you blend it out, you can’t notice it; it’s really subtle.
This is an old school favorite. I always reach for this when I have really dry lips. It is amazing! You feel this working, the instant it touches your lips. It doesn’t feel sticky and does such an amazing job at smoothing out all the horrible crusty patches on my lips.
Younique Splash Liquid Lipsticks: Softhearted and Sentimental
I have been wearing these so much throughout January and February. Softhearted is a touch light for me to wear on its own, so I tend to mix it with darker shades to lighten it. It’s just such a perfect shade for mixing. As for Sentimental; this is a beautiful plum shade that isn’t too dark. It’s really flattering. The Splash Liquid Lipsticks tend to not dry down completely and are very moosey, however, they do last a long time. I just need to find a few more shades since all of mine are currently darker Winter shades. I do want to try some more of the nudes.
Collection Primed and Ready Primer
This is one of my favorite drugstore primers that actually works. You only need a tiny pea-sized amount to cover your face and it doesn’t create a cakey texture to the skin. It’s really lovely. I tend to reach for this when I can’t afford the Glorious primer that month. It’s a really gorgeous primer.
Younique BB Complexion Enhancer
I have almost used up the second one of these. I use this BB cream every day; it is stunning! It covers everything that you want covering, but it still looks like skin. I tend to apply this with a brush then blend out any brush streaks with a blending sponge. I can trust this to last all day and other makeup products apply beautifully over the top.
Younique You-Ology Range
I started using this at the beginning of the month, and I have loved it so far. I am taking a record of how my skin improves over the month, and I will be posting that at the end of the month/beginning of March. However, I noticed results from this straight away. I have sensitive, combination skin, and I have noticed a reduction in the redness around my cheeks and chin, and I have noticed a definite glow in my dull skin. But that is all that I’ll mention for now. If you want the full report, keep an eye out for my You-Ology post later in the month.
Maybelline Chrome Extreme Highlighter: Diamond Dust
This highlighter truly is beautiful. It gives such a stunning glow to the skin, and the shade is perfect for fairer skin tones. I tend to apply this with a fan brush and it looks so diffused and gorgeous.
Younique Epic Mascara: Waterproof
I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t keen on this when I first purchased it. However, I have found that if I warm up the tube it applies exactly the same as the original formula. This does last all day and removed with a cleanser at the end of the day. You get the same amazing length as the original Epic. It is lovely; just make sure you warm up the product in some way prior to applying.
Younique Pressed Blush: Seductive
I am so sad that they have now discontinued these blushers! They are gorgeous! Seductive is such a pretty natural mauve shade; it’s beautiful. This blush wears all day and blends out beautifully.
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream
I have a lot of trouble with dryness under my right eye, and this is one of the few products that I can guarentee to work and keep that area hydrated. It’s a really lovely eye cream that helps reduce fine lines and helps me look more awake.
Younique Single Pressed Eyeshadows
There is such a beautiful range of shades that there will be something for everyone. I tend to reach for the champagne shades and the cranberry tones more than any others, but honestly, every shade is beautiful. They blend out so well, and the pigmentation is even. When I use these shades, I can guarantee that they’ll stay in place all day. I love them.
CYO Matte Pressed Setting Powder
I have mentioned this powder a lot in the past. It’s a great powder for someone on a budget. It is really finely milled and doesn’t look cakey on the skin. The only downfall is that it is so quick to hit pan. However, it’s so cheap, I don’t mind buying a few of them. They are such an amazing setting powder.
Younique Royalty Exfoliating Mask
I love using a face mask, and I love ones that have some grit to them. This is one of my favorite ones that Younique do, and I’m so glad that they kept it as part of the You-Ology range. You get about 10 uses out of a pot, so it will last a while.
Bare Minerals Gen Nude Blush: Peachy Keen
On days where I do want a touch more colour to my cheeks, I reach for Peachy Keen. It is such a pretty shade and lasts all day. It blends out really well and is so richly pigmented. I would love to try more of these blushers one day if they are all as good as this shade. It’s just so pretty!
Those are all of my favorites. What products have you been loving lately?
Have a lovely day guys, and take care.
