Current Favourites: March

Another month has gone by! I can’t believe how quickly 2019 is going.

I hope everyone had a lovely month and did some nice things. I went away to Yorkshire for a few days and explored a few lovely sites that I’d never been to before. One day, I might pop the photos on here.

Today, I wanted to share some of my favourites from the past month. Some are old favourites, and have appeared on lists before. Others are quite new.

Benefit Cheekleader Bronze Squad Palette

I was really naughty and treat myself to this gorgeous palette. It was a toss between this one and the Pink palette, but this had more shades that I would use. Since my Beachfront Bronzer reached pan, I have been using the Hoola bronzer a lot, along with the Cookie Highlighter. The shade of this is stunning! Honestly, if Opal and Champagne Pop had a baby, this would be it!

The only shade I don’t really use is the caramel Hoola; it’s just too dark for my skin tone. However, I have experimented in using it as a eyeshadow, and it works really well for that.

Younique Moodstruck Brow Obsession Palette

I didn’t used to like this prior to having my brows waxed. It was a bit tricky to use when I couldn’t see the brow hairs and the shape was uneven. However, since having my wax and tint applied, I find this so much easier to use. It helps fill in the hairs really well and looks so natural. You do need a synthetic brow brush to use with it, or at least that’s what I find is best with the wax and powders. One of my favourites is the brow highlighter; it’s so subtle but so beautiful.

Gucci Bambo Perfume

I did mention this in a previous list, but I really enjoy this scent. It’s so delicious. I don’t want to use subtle again so quickly, but it is, and such a fresh smell that can last all day. I won’t say too much about it, but if you love fresh scents, you will love this one!

Younique Esteem Lash Serum

I have made mention on my skimpy lashes in the past. I’ve had this in my kit for a while and I did use it when I first got it, but thought it dried up and stopped using it. I warmed it up a few weeks ago and managed to get the product back to normal, and I’ve started using it religiously again.

My lashes look amazing. They have a lot more length and they look healthier; so much fuller. I wish that I’d taken before and after photos, but this truly does work. I feel like in my last few makeup photos, you can see my lashes without me doing the tilted sideways angle thing.

This has honestly been a lash saviour!

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks

I have three shades of this and they are gorgeous! They are richly pigmented and last such a long time. Yes, they will smudge if you’re not careful; they’re a traditional lipstick, but they look stunning. I love the pinky nude shades so much! They feel glossy but not sticky, and are really hydrating.

Younique Epic Mascara Waterproof

I get the impression from a lot of customers that the waterproof Epic is a marmite product. A lot of people don’t think it performs as great as the original Epic. If you warm up the tube first; whether that’s in hot water, down your bra or on a radiator; warm the tube. The product needs to loosen up and it will perform exactly like the original epic, you just have a waterproof product that will last all day! I have loved using it over the past few months; especially with all the rain that we’ve had lately!

Younique Moodstruck Pressed Blush: Supple

Supple is beautiful! If you love peachy blush shades, you will love it. It has a tiny hint of shimmer, but it doesn’t really show up on the skin. It gives a really healthy glow, and blends out beautifully. It is richly pigmented, so a little will go a long way, but if you have a fair skin tone, this would really suit you in the Spring/Summer months.

Younique Lucrative Lip Gloss

I have been going for more natural makeup looks throughout March, and I have been reaching for glosses more often than lipsticks. My lips get really dry and I find that glosses help hydrate them more than a lipstick at times. These glosses are not sticky, and look stunning. I have mentioned them previously, but I love them, especially the shades Luxe and Lovesick. Although Luxe has definitely been my shade of choice this month.

And those are all of my favourites over the past month. What products have you loved lately?

Have a lovely day guys, and take care!
