Non-Younique Beauty Favourites

Hi everyone! How are you today?

I have stated on a few occasions that although I sell and advertise Younique products through my social platforms, there are other beauty items that I enjoy using. I love experimenting with various items, and I will mix them into my routines. Even if you are an ambassador for a specific company, there is nothing wrong with you loving other products, and if there is something that I really enjoy using, I do mention it on my facebook group.

So today, I wanted to tribute a list to the items that I use regularly and really enjoy using.

Benefit Cheekleader Bronze Squad

If you follow me on Instagram (@jennywren_7), you will have noticed this palette crop up again and again. I tend to mix the two Hoola shades together to create my perfect bronzer. The caramel shade is stunning, but it does need that cooler tone from the original to stop me looking too orange. And oh my god, I love Cookie as a highlighter. It is beautiful! If you are on the fairer skin side, this highlighter is that perfect shimmery glow without looking over the top. It’s gorgeous!

Inglot Pure Pigment Eyeshadow: 116

If you love a smokey, Bronze-brown smoky eye, this shade is perfect for you. I tend to wear this teamed up with Gingerly and Fervent, and it creates a beautiful eye look. For a loose pigment, this is going to get a fair bit of fallout, but it brushes away quite easily and if you lock it in place with a glitter glue or use a damp shadow brush, it will last all day, seriously!

Maybelline Chrome Extreme Highlighter: Molten Rose Gold

If you haven’t tried this highlighter yet, you are missing out! It is gorgeous. You can wear this quite sheer or build it up to blind the angels; it will still look amazing. I can almost sense the pan in the dip that I’ve created in this. I may need to buy a new one before the year is out.

L’Oreal Rouge Matte Liquid Lipstick: I Explore

I picked up this tip from Jaclyn Hill; if you want your lip colour to last, but you don’t want a dry lip product, apply lipstick over a liquid lip. I have been wearing this shade from L’Oreal underneath my favourite Younique Lipstick ‘Affluent.’ Together, they are a beautiful combo. I wouldn’t call the L’Oreal formula particularly drying, but I’m not the biggest fan of a matte lip at the moment. By pairing these together, I get the best of both worlds; long lasting colour, but a glossy finish.

Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Palette

I love this palette! There is the perfect mix of warm and cool toned pinks, reds and purples. It is gorgeous for this time of year, and will be ideal for the Summer. I do mix this with some of my single pressed shadows, and it’s a great companion for Addiction Palette 5 too. The palette is tricky to get into, but the product itself is amazing. Definitely worth every penny.

L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer

I’ve only been using this for a few weeks, but I actually prefer this to the Glorious Primer. It works really well with the Touch Foundation and really helps foundation last longer on the skin without any weird fading. You only need a 5p size amount for the entire face and it sits really well in fine lines, creating a lovely smooth base.

Bare Minerals Loose Blush: Vintage Peach

I have had this blush for such a long time; it was a present for a birthday a few years ago, and I used to use it loads. After buying Supple, I started getting back into peachy toned blushers. So, over the last few weeks, I’ve been reaching for ‘Vintage Peach’ again. This shade is absolutely gorgeous; it’s such a subtle flush of colour and looks amazing with a warmer bronzer.

Medusa Rage Against the Bean Lip Balm

My lips tend to get really dry in the Spring and Summer, so lip balm is a must. This one is a really nice one to apply in the morning before my lipsticks, since it isn’t too thick and doesn’t create a greasy layer, which can make some lippies slip around; not a great look! It is vanilla scented, but it isn’t too strong. But the most important aspect; it will rehydrate those dry, cracked lips. If you can find this, definitely buy it!

Nivea Micellar Waterproof Makeup Remover

If you used to follow my old blog, you know the struggle that I had with micellar water. They used to always set off my skin and dry it out. I don’t know how, but they do. Maybe there is something in the formula for this one that has changed, but I’ve had no issues with this so far. It does an amazing job at removing my 4D mascara! I tend to use this on an evening, and will use a tiny bit before cleansing properly in the shower to remove any naughty makeup that survived the evening purge.

So those are some of my non-Younique beauty favourites. What sort of products do you enjoy using at the moment?

Have a lovely day guys, and take care!
