June Favourites

Hi everyone! How are you today?

I can’t believe that July is here already! The Summer has finally arrived! Not that you would know it, as it’s currently raining here in the North east as I write this. I hope the weather is better where you are!

So today is the day where I share everything that I have loved throughout June. I have a mix of makeup, skincare and a few random things. I really love doing these favourites posts since it really gets me thinking about the products that I actually enjoy using.

Revolution Pro Brow Pomade

I recently had my brows waxed and tinted, so now it’s a lot easier to find their shape and make them even. I’ve started wearing them a bit bolder, but not too bold. I bought a whole bunch of new brow stuff, but the pomade has been my favourite. It’s really quick for filling in colour in the brow, but still looks really natural. I wear the colour taupe, which almost matches my new hair colour.

Okay, this will come as no surprise to anyone reading this, but I am loving weightwatchers at the moment. I am now 14 weeks in and I have lost over 1stone in weight. That’s the most that I have ever lost in a long time, and I am thrilled.

Points-wise I currently have 34 dailies and 45 weeklies. I rarely ever touch the weeklies, and when I do it doesn’t effect my weightloss. I have had losses on most weeks; I once stayed the same.

I am still terrified about regaining the weight, and I am working on a post for that. It’ll probably come to you on Saturday. But for now, the weight is coming off, and their are no indications that it’s going to come back.

Younique SPF Finishing Powder

I’ve had this for a while, and to be honest, the thing that stopped me using it was the packaging. But once I depotted it into an empty Setting powder pot, I have loved it. It works as a great setting powder, bronzer and skin protector. I must have used it every day this month and I have loved it. My skin is a weird in-between shade, and the powder has helped me warm up slightly without looking like an Oompa-Loompa.

L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer

This is amazing! For a drugstore primer, it leaves a lovely base for foundation to cling to and works really well with my Younique Foundations. It’s an amazing dupe for the Glorious Primer, although I do prefer that one. However, at times where I can’t always afford a new luxury primer, this one is awesome.

Revolution Skincare Matrixyl Serum

If you followed my old blog, you will know that I had such a struggle with eye creams. I used to get this weird dry patch under my eye that would look like I’d been punched in the face. I’m coming to the conclusion now that I must be allergic to some common ingredient in eye creams. So a few months ago I decided to cut them out of my routine completely and focus on serums. I use the Matrixyl Serum for Fine Lines around my eyes, as well as my entire face and I have noticed a difference in how my makeup applies around my eyes. Things seem more hydrated and less liney under there. It makes applying concealer a fucking dream! Mine is almost out, and you can guarantee that I’ll be running to Superdrug the day that this runs out!

Gucci Bamboo

Yup, I still love this perfume! A few of my friends at work also wear it and it honestly smells different on everyone, but it’s always flattering. It’s just such a subtle, floral scent. It’s beautiful. I’m hoping that if this runs out, someone might treat me to this for my birthday or Christmas.

Seriously, this app is amazing! I pay £13.99 and it’s worth every penny. I use one of the more active workouts every day to keep my exercise up, which I do find has helped my weightloss (eat more, move less and all that blah blah). I also use the meditation sessions on a night to help me wind down on a night. I love the Taming Emotions Meditation by Jade. I’ve used that one for about 3 weeks now. If you suffer Anxiety, I’d strongly recommend listening to that Meditation before you go to sleep. It’s amazing!

If you’re not into walking or meditation there are other workouts, so there will be something for everyone. The trainers are amazing and explain everything really well as they go along.

Younique Touch a la Mode Liquid Luminizer

This is another product that I’ve had for a while and rarely used. When I had a jig around with my makeup, I added this to my blush drawer to try and use it. I use this on top of my powders; yeah I know, the cardinal sin! This goes on like a liquid but sets into a powdery finish that looks really natural. I love it. I also use it to glow up my arms and legs a bit, and it looks gorgeous!

If you do want highlight with a bit more oomph, you won’t like this. But if you love a more natural glow, definitely give this a go.

Smashbox Legendary Matte Lipstick in Stylist

I added this to my lipstick caddy on my makeup stand to try and use it more. This is a gorgeous looking matte nude. It gives enough colour to be noticeable, but it isn’t too bold. It’s the perfect shade for work. It’s also really long-lasting, and the matte formula isn’t drying. I’ve loved Smashbox lippies for years, and I knew that I’d kept this shade for a reason.

Younique 4D Epic Mascara

I’m two month in to using this now and I still love it. Yes, it isn’t waterproof, but on days where you don’t get caught in a rain storm it’s amazing. It’s really long-lasting and gives gorgeous fullness to your lashes. I have short lashes, and this does add some length to my stubby little things. I am going to start using the lash serum again to try and give them back some natural length.

I am obsessed with this show. Series 5 has been amazing! I know series 8 is out now and I’m trying to catch up. I love the different characters in this show, and it is definitely not the same as Orange is the New Black. They are so different!

And that is all of my favourites. What have you been loving throughout June; let me know, even if it is Love Island.

Have a lovely day guys, and take care!

Bye for now.
