Palettes I Want to use in August

Hi everyone! How are you today? I hope that you’re well.

Today, I wanted to share one of my favourite things; palettes. When I worked for Younique, I was neglecting a few of my old favourites, and not using newer palettes as much as I probably should have. But now that I’m back to my regular blogging, I want to start sharing the love and using a few more of the palettes that I’ve collected over the last year or so.

Some of these palettes, I’ve had a really long time, but as you probably know, I don’t follow expiry dates. As long as something still performs great, doesn’t smell off and has no mould growing off it, I’ll still use it.

So here are a few palettes that I want to use more over August.

Buxom May Contain Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

I bought this a few months ago but I rarely reached for it when I originally bought it. It is the perfect golden brown neutral palette if you love warm tones. I have started using it near the end of July, but I do want to use it more. The shade ‘Gold Status’ is stunning on the lids! The six shades in the pan give a perfect mix of both mattes and shimmers to do a full eye look. I might actually be reaching for this for my Interview next week (Update: I didn’t. I use Born the Run).

Urban Decay Born to Run Palette

This was a completely on a whim purchase last week when I went into TK Maxx. They had one palette left, so I grabbed it before anyone else could. Hey, £24.99 for a £42 palette…. bargain! This palette has a gorgeous mix of neutrals and pops of colour, and like the Buxom palette, it is on the warmer side. The shades look amazing for the transition from Summer into Autumn and I can’t wait to dip my brush into them! I’m expecting this to be amazing, considering the quality of Urban Decay shadows in the past.

Morphe 35O2 Palette

I’m starting to see a theme in the palettes that I’ve picked; warm tones! This palette is full of them! It is beautiful. In the past, the only shade that I ever used was the bright red in the second row. But now, I fully intend to play around with this and use a few more of the shades. They all look so beautiful, and will look amazing for this time of year. I know that the formula of this is great from previous use, so I hope that it still performs as awesome as it used to.

I’ve only kept this list at three palettes, just to ensure all palettes get fair useage. I will do an update for this next month and let you know my thoughts on each palette.

Have a lovely day guys, and take care!
