You Do You!


Hi everyone! How are you today?

I wanted to get something off my chest because this really pissed me off the other day!

As you all know, I use Aaptiv to aid my weightloss and I have used the official app since May. I use a mixture of different cardio exercises including treadmill, cross trainers, outdoor jogging and exercise bikes. I am quite active in posting on their Facebook group; on the most part the community is really lovely and we support each other and give each other advise when people ask for it.

So I posted this little update after my usual midnight workout during my final night shift where I posted a full length image of my body.


I used to hate posting photos of my body on social media. I’ve always been ashamed of my weight and hate anything below the boobs and above my legs. Yeah, it’s a delusional thing, but we all have those areas of our body that we hate. However, in the past few months, I’ve started to push past those mental blocks and I’m loving the figure that’s emerging. I wanted to show it off.



Then this fucker chimes in!

I’m sure this guy in his own head thought he was being helpful and advising me on how I should lose my weight. Unfortunately he came across very offensive and I felt like he had said I’m too fat to do the exercise that I want. Well I’m sorry random stranger from the internet, I know my body better than you, and I’ll decide what I’m ready for!

Guys, there is not such thing as having the correct body for a type of exercise. If you want to rock climb, go rock climbing. If you want to run, you run. If you want to do karate kicks, you do those kicks! Only you can decide if that type of fitness is right for you.

I have been intermittent jogging since I started weightwatchers and I was a lot heavier than this when I started.

So the point of this post is that no matter what you do, there will always be that one person who will try and put you off and could make you question everything that you’re doing. Don’t listen to them. You know what works for you; you do you and fuck what everyone else says!
