The Beauty Questions Tag

Hi everyone, how are you today?

The other day, I was feeling a bit nostalgic and started looking at my old blog from 2013. Yeah, I’ve been doing this on and off for almost 7 years! I wanted to see how my style and tastes had changed over the years, and I was a little shocked at some of the content I let myself post; boy was my photography bad!

Well, as I was hunting through my old posts, I came across this tag. Some of my old answers surprised me, and if you’re curious, I’ll link the original post here. But I wanted to update things and post the 31-year old Jennifer’s answers.

What is the one product you’d grab if your house was on fire?

This would definitely be my bag. I can always buy new makeup, but I have my cards, money, phone and diary in my bag. It’s probably the most important item other than family that I would get out of a fire.

Which beauty vlogger would you want to do your makeover?

I would want Jeffree Star to do my makeup. He does some pretty awesome looks on himself, and the guy used to be a makeup artist for MAC, so I’d be curious to see what sort of wild and wonderful look he would do on me. I would just pray that he wouldn’t shave my eyebrows off as part of the look!

What celeb do people think you look like?

I’m one of those people that rarely ever gets told that they look like someone else. If you can think of anyone, let me know and I’ll update my answer.

What beauty product do you save for date night?
I don’t really have date nights these days; I’m still on my hiatus from dating. However, I do have special items of makeup that I save for special occasions. One of them is my Bobbi brown Creamy Matte Lipstick in Red Carpet. It is my favourite red lipstick and I can always guarantee that it will make my teeth look whiter, and fills me with confidence.

If you could create your own miracle beauty product, what would it be?

A medium coverage foundation that would automatically match your skin tone. Yeah, I know that we have this in BB creams, but they’re all light coverage. I want a proper foundation that will match anyone!

What’s your best beauty tip?

Don’t touch your eyebrows. Leave this to the professionals!

What beauty products do you love to splurge on?

Eyeshadow palettes. This will always be eyeshadow palettes. I am addicted to them!

Which beauty vloggers would you bring on a shopping spree?

Tati Westbrook and Jeffree Star. They have tried and tested so many amazing products that they could help me pick the best items in the shop. Plus they are hilarious together. If I could add Shane Dawson into the mix, I’d die a happy girl!

What is your signature scent?

I love Gucci Bamboo. I am almost finished with the bottle I got for Christmas last year, so I’m hoping that someone might buy me it again this year!

I am on an endless quest for the perfect _________.

Foundation.

How many beauty products does it take to get you ready?
18. Wow, that seems a lot! Does anyone use more? I included skincare in mine.

What lipstick/lip gloss is in your purse right now?
At the moment it’s Jeffree Star’s Thick as Thieves, just because I wore it for work yesterday. I love the colour though!

Who is your celebrity beauty icon?
Ashley Graham! She is gorgeous and not afraid to be herself.

Name the beauty brand you’d most love to be a spokesperson for?
I couldn’t choose one. I love so many different brands these days; it’s hard to pick just one.

What’s your current nail polish?
I haven’t got any polish on my hands at the moment, but I have the Unicorn Glitter polish from Nails Inc on my toes.

Fave mascara right now?
I still love the Clinique Curling Mascara. It’s so good!

The last thing you bought at Sephora?
I don’t shop at Sephora. Partly because it isn’t in the UK. Last thing I bought at Boots however was a few Bare Minerals Christmas gift sets. I spent a small fortune!

I try never to be seen without wearing _______.
Brow products. Seriously I look so wrong with my natural brow colour; they are invisible! Jeffree Star may be able to pull off the no brows look, but I can’t!

What’s one beauty product you’d always recommend?

Invest in a really good fluffy blending brush for eyeshadow. These are great for getting rid of harsh lines and helping pull your look together. I still love my Nars blending brush.
If you would like to have a go at answering these questions, tag your posts in the comments; I would love to read your answers.
Until then, have a lovely day, and take care!
