Favourite Liquid Lip Formulas

Hi everyone! How are you today?

I have mentioned a few times over the past few weeks that I suffer really dry skin, especially around my lips. I’ve started using the revolution skincare Matrixyl solution along with a lip balm and that seems to be sorting them out. So, you may have noticed that I’m wearing a lot more mattifying formulas including liquid lipsticks on a regular basis.

So, since I have tried a few more liquid lipsticks in the past few months, I wanted to share some of my favourite formulas.

The first ones will come as no shock; I have been raving about these for a fair while now. The formula is beautiful. L’Oreal’s Signature Liquid Lipstick are a very thin formula and really comfortable to wear. They apply almost like a stain but dry down completely matte. These last all day and won’t budge during a meal. Some shades that I love to wear are I Lead and I Explore.   I do love them all, but I am going through a bit of a nude phase at the moment!

These are quite a new favourite. I used to have two other shades of Jeffree Star’s Velour Liquid Lipsticks a few years ago, but I used to find them quite drying. However, I don’t know if it’s my healthy lips or if the formula has changed, but I really enjoy these now. I have Thick as Thieves and Fully Nude. They’re both gorgeous and are such a richly pigmented formula. Although you are aware that they are there, they still feel really comfortable. When I get paid, I’ll definitely be treating myself to a few more shades.

Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Liquid Lipsticks look beautiful. The packaging is gorgeous! Like the Jeffree Star formula, these can be a little drying, but they’re comfortable. They don’t apply too thick and dry down really quickly, so there’s no chance of smudging. Both shades look identical in this picture, but I promise that they’re different. My favourite of the two is Dusty Rose, but they’re both lovely. This one is just that tiny but warmer in tone.

Again the formula is really thin and dries down super quick. Some of the bolder shades can look a bit too much, but the neutral tones are lovely. I’ve been wearing Lolita quite a lot throughout October, but this has pretty much been my favourite shade in the collection consistently over the years. It’s beautiful.

If Nyx made more shades that I would wear, I would definitely have more of these in my collection. But London and Sao Paolo are gorgeous. Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams are not the most long-lasting formula, but they are really comfortable to wear and don’t sit funny in fine lines on the lips.

I mentioned these quite recently in a review, and I still love them. Models Own’s Lix Liquid Matte Lipsticks are really lovely. The minty flavouring is something different, and I think that this helps keep my lips hydrated when I wear these. All the shades that I own are stunning, but I currently have Naked and Berry Cool in my everyday draw. They are really flattering shades for the Autumn. They last a really long time without drying out too much. I just hope that Models Own hasn’t disappeared. The website seems to have gone. There are so many of their products that I love, so I hope you can still buy them!

People keep asking me if I really liked Younique products, or did I just say that I liked them because I sold them. Well the honest answer is, yes I do like the products and there are a lot of items that I continue to use to this day. One of them is the Splash Liquid Lipsticks. These are a creamier formula and don’t dry down completely matte, but they are a really beautiful formula to wear, and the colour choice is gorgeous. Even the blue is nice to wear around Halloween!

And those are some of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas. What are yours?

Have a lovely day guys, and take care.
