Hi everyone! How are you today?
Okay, I’ve been in a bit of a makeup rut lately, and have only been reaching for neutral tones and the odd green in my makeup collection lately. So today, I wanted to get creative and do something 100% pure colour. Good-bye neutral browns. Hello pink and blue!
As you know, I like to create looks here that are wearable. I very rarely do anything that I wouldn’t wear outside the house. I try to create things that people can easily recreate at home, and this colourful shadow look is no exception. It was so easy to do.
As usual I will list every product used, however, this post is mainly focusing on the eyeshadow.
Nars Radiant Glow Primer
Uoma Beauty Say What Foundation
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star Concealer
Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Powder
Younique Beachfront Bronzer: Malibu
Younique Pressed Blush: Seductive
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost: Siberian Gold
For my brows, I have done nothing really different to my norm. I swiped a bit of Revolution Pro Brow Powder in Taupe through my existing hairs and set them in place with my Revolution Pro Brow Mascara.
For the eyeshadow part, I used a combination of two palettes; Jeffree Star’s Jawbreaker and Mini-Breaker Palettes. I first took the shade ‘Good Morning’ to set my eyelids. This is the perfect shade to set my lids; I find Virgin is a bit too pale for me. In the crease I then took ‘Bubble Gum’ and built that up slowly to a relatively opaque pink, diffusing the edges to keep things nice and blended. I then built up a gradiant of pink to purple in the crease by taking ‘Foreplay@ and ‘Purple Punch’, blending them out quite soft in the crease.
On the lid, I first packed on the bright blue shade ‘Soaked’ with my finger, and blended out the edges slightly with a touch more of ‘Purple Punch.’ This blue shade wasn’t going to be visible in the completed look, I just wanted an opaque matte shade down to make the shimmer more dense and visible. The shimmer shade, ‘Oral’ is stunning when placed over a matte shade like this, and I also applied this with my fingers, blending out the edges with a clean brush.
On the lower lashes, I blended out a combination of ‘Bubble Gum,’ ‘Purple Punch’ and ‘Hot Fudge’ and kept this very diffused. On my brow bone, I used a touch of ‘Snack,’ using this shade for my inner corner too.
For mascara, I used the bright blue shade of Benefit’s Bad Gal Bang Mascara. It really looks beautiful when applied over a white lash primer; which I used the Smashbox Lash Primer.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick: Gemini
Jeffree Star Cosmetics The Gloss: Crystal Climax
I hope that you like this look, and if you would like to see more colourful looks in the future, let me know as I really enjoy creating them.
Have a lovely day, and take care!
