2019 Beauty Favourites: Eyes

Hi everyone, how are you today? I hope that you’re all doing great and had an amazing Christmas. I’m sorry that it’s been a few weeks since my last post, but things got a bit hectic at work, and I never got round to finishing this post in time for my schedule. Well it’s the new year soon, so my New Year’s Resolution is to be more regular with my posts, and try and get more of a balance between my lifestyle stuff and my makeup posts.

This is the final one of my beauty favourites of the year posts. I will be doing a random favourites one later, but this will be the final makeup related one. And it’s all about my favourite topic; eyes. I love eye makeup so much, and I’ve really embraced trying different styles this year, as well as being more confident with colour.

So let’s find out which eye products I loved throughout 2019.

Younique Epic Mascara

Oh my God! How many tubes of this did I go through this year. I currently have the brown one that I use for night shifts and when I want a more natural eye look. This is such a flattering mascara that adds length and volume to your lashes, whilst also being smudge proof. I still love it to this day.

Too Faced Natural Lust Palette

I ended up selling the Natural Love palette but I kept this one. I love the shades in this one. I do tend to navigate more to warmer tones, and this palette has a tone of them! I love the peacock green shade; it is stunning! There is quite a range on this palette, so you could create a fair few different looks without getting bored. It’s just so pretty!

Clinique Curling Mascara

My other favourite mascara was this lovely curling one from Clinique. The wand is perfect for both the upper and lower lashes, and it is a smudge-proof formula (on me). Honestly, I struggle to remove this at the end of the day! It will cling on for dear life. One of the few things that I can trust to take it off completely is the cleansing balm from Clinique. But I love the effect that this mascara gives, and the curl won’t drop out after first application either; it holds that curl!

Rimmel Ultimate Kohl Kajal Pencil

This pencil was been my go-to for tight-lining since I received it in a gift box in Superdrug or Boots. It doesn’t smudge, and it’s a very intense black. I’ve actually really enjoyed tight-lining this year, and this has made it so easy. It’s one of the few that I don’t poke myself in the eye with! And once it is applied, it doesn’t wear away too easily. I love it!

Revolution Pro Brow Mascara

I have been using the Benefit Gimme Brow for years now! I love the tiny little wand that grabs each individual hair so easily. I just hate how expensive it is. Enter Revolution Pro! This gives me exactly what I love in the Benefit Brow product, but it’s so much cheaper. Yes, there are only a few shades, but so did Benefit before they expanded their range! This is such an easy product to use, and mine is looking a bit battered now; the writing has completely rubbed off the sides! I have used it that much this year!

Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Palette

If I had to pick one neutral palette from this year, it would be this one. It had enough neutral tones in it to play safe, but there are so many bright pinks and reds for when I really want to play around. I love this palette a lot. I won’t say too much, because I have several posts from the past year, raving about how good this it! Check those out if you want more details!

Younique Single Pressed Eyeshadows

After giving up my Younique seller’s page, these are one of the few things that I kept using. I love the single pressed eyeshadows! There are so many beautiful, neutral shades. I still reach for Fervent and Gentle to enhance a few of my eyeshadow looks; those were my go-to’s in almost every look. These are so beautiful, creamy and so easy to blend. If you do have a few extra places in a z-palette and have a friend who sells Younique, I would highly recommend these.

Younique Precision Brow Pencil

This is my final Younique product in these yearly favourites posts! Although I have been giving brow pomades and powders a try lately, I still prefer brow pencils. They are so much more precise and look more natural. The Younique one, lasted me ages too. It was a hard pencil, but not too hard. I was able to get very fine, precise looking hairs with this, and it worked so well with the brow mascara.

Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson Conspiracy Palette

You may notice that I broke my rules a bit in this post! I think I said that I had to have used something for longer than 3 months to consider it in these posts. This was launched on the 1st November, so technically I’ve had this just under 2 months. Oops! However, when you know, you know, and I love this palette. I have used it so much over the past few weeks; some shades no longer have the cute little stamps on them; they have worn away. The only shade I don’t use it Food Videos, and I really wish that they got rid of this shade when they decided to bring that pretty green shade back.

Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol 1 Palette

Again, I’m breaking my own rules with this one! I am obsessed with the colour stories in this palette. I have used this on myself as well as members of my family and we all love it! This blends out so easily and the shadows last forever on the eyes, however they do not stain when it comes to wiping it off at the end of the day. Tati truly made a beautiful palette!

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Lash Primer

The final item on the list is a lash primer. This is so good! It coats each lash evenly and really helps pump up the volume of my mascaras to give my lashes some length and volume. It is quite cheap too, and works so much better than some more expensive brands (I’m looking at you, Smashbox!).

And those are all of my eye favourites from the past year! Which were your favourites?

Have an amazing day everyone, and Happy New Year!
