February Favourites

Hi everyone! How are you today?

Today I wanted to share a few of my favourites from the past month. I’ve actually surprised myself this month and found that I have other hobbies other than makeup! Can you believe it?

There are actually only five makeup related items on this list this month. Everything else is lifestyle/ fashion, so I hope you enjoy reading about something other than makeup today.

Julien MacDonald Orange Jumper

I bought this jumper a few months ago as my treat for losing 2 stone. Since the weather has been a bit shitty lately, I’ve been wearing it a lot. It’s a gorgeous burnt orange colour with a cool laced pattern along the sleeves. It’s quite stylish and keeps me warm. I love it!

Tati Beauty Blendiful

I have been using this quite a bit lately. I have been applying my makeup with a normal brush, then using this to remove any horrible streaks left by the brushes. It gives a gorgeous flawless finish, and I’ve noticed that my foundation has been lasting longer on my face through the day. This just really helps the products melt into the skin but not leave a cakey finish. It’s a really brilliant product.

House of Salt and Sorrow

This book was a really fun read. If you enjoy a gothic horror story, you will love this. It’s a retelling of a german fairy tale “Twelve Dancing Princesses,” and it was really good; remaining faithful to the tale but adding it’s own spin on things. There are some chapters that I pictured so vividly in my head and it really creeped me out. I hope Erin A Craig writes more books in the future, because her debut novel was amazing.

Bare Minerals Bare Pro Liquid Foundation

I have used this every day this month. It’s a gorgeous, medium coverage foundation. It’s not too thick- actually it’s a very thin formula that works really well with Tati’s Blendiful. I may need to get the next shade up ready for my holiday, but I love the coverage and the longevity of this foundation.

The Velvet Chronicles

These books are great; I’d definitely recommend them if you’re over 18! Do not read these if you are young! There’s a lot of sex in them; just imagine Twilight and Buffy, but the main protagonist is a foul-mouthed Geordie who loves kinky sex. The story is so good and I read the first 3 straight after each other this month. I loved them!

JSC Velour Liquid Lipstick: Christmas Cookie

Out of all my Jeffree Star products, I used this the most, this month. The shade is a gorgeous nude. I’ve worn it for work quite a lot, and I tend to wear this when I’ve applied a lot of coloured shades to my eyes. It lasts all day, and it’s such a comfortable product to wear.

Frixion Clicker Erasable Pens

I feel weird putting a pen on my favourites. But yhese pens have been life-savers. You can make a mistake and erase it away once the ink dries. This has helped me out loads in my diary when I’ve written my shifts in wrong, or I’ve had to cancel appointments. They are so worth the money!

Medication Vacation’s YouTube Channel

I struggle to switch off my brain on a night and need meditation to help me sleep. Since cancelling aaptiv, I have been using YouTube. Medication vacation has such a soothing voice and his 1-hour long videos really help me fall asleep. If you do struggle with insomnia or anxiety, definitely give these a try before paying for a meditation program.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palettes

I had to include these palettes. I have been using these every day for the past 2 weeks. The shades are so beautiful; I can’t wait for you guys to see the look book I created using Volume 2. I am definitely taking these 2 on my holiday this month. I can’t believe how pretty the red shades are, and they last a really long time on my eyes.

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Blushers

My love affair with these blushers continues…. I now have four of them and they always look super flattering on my cheeks. They blend out beautifully and last such a long time through the day. I love the shade Peachy Keen; it’s such a stunning peach shade.

And those are all of my favourites this month. What have you loved this month?

Have a lovely day, and take care guys!
