Evening Skincare Routine

Hi everyone! How are you all today?

Yep, somehow the girl who didn’t really have an evening skincare routine, now appears to have one! I’ve been doing this for just over a month now, and my skin feels pretty awesome. Even my super dry lips have been behaving!

There aren’t a lot of products here, it’s actually a really simple routine compared to some that I see. As you know, I have a few more steps during the day.

Being the lazy lassie that I can be, I don’t like a makeup remover where I need to scrub at my skin. The Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover is really gentle and removes all of my makeup. I do sometimes need to use the balm cleanser with liquid lipsticks or waterproof products, however I mostly just use the liquid remover. A little goes a long way with this stuff; one cotton pad actually removed everything from my face.

My next step is to scrub my lips with my Jeffree Star Lip Scrub. Again, a little goes a long way, which is a shame because this tastes amazing! It also helps remove any stubborn lip products. Once this has been licked away (yes I eat my lip scrub), I apply any lip balm that I have handy. At the minute, this is the Carmax one that I got in my secret santa present. It’s not my favourite balm, but it does the job it’s designed to do.

My final step, which I do about three times a week is to apply a mask. I got the Body Shop Hemp Overnight Mask at the end of January, and I have been using it religiously ever since. A little goes a long way; I actually applied a bit more than normal tonight so that it would show up in the photo! It takes about 5-10 minutes to absorb into the skin and by morning my skin feels really fresh and moisturised.

And that is my entire evening routine. I know it’s short, but it works for me. What sort of products do you use on a night? I would love to hear about your routines and any skincare that you use.

Have a lovely day guys, and take care!
