Flower Beauty Review

Hi everyone! How are you today?

I know that Drew Barrymore’s makeup brand, Flower Beauty has been out in the States for a long tome now, and I’ve heard really good things about it. In the UK, Superdrug started selling it online just over a year ago, and I noticed it in stores last month. Before the quarantine was in full effect, I managed to get my hands on a few items, and I’ve been trying them out over the past few weeks.

So, here is my honest review of some of Flower Beauty’s range.

Light Illusion Foundation

This is a beautifully packaged foundation; I love the glass bottle container and the rose gold labelling. It looks a lot more chic than what it’s £12.99 would suggest. The product itself did take some getting used to. I have been using a lot more liquidy foundations lately, and this is a lot thicker in consistency. I really enjoy using this with the Tati Beauty Blendiful; I just find that it blends out a lot easier and looks less cakey than with a brush. It is very glowy and looks so healthy. I really am enjoying using it, although there are foundations that I prefer.

Flower Pots Powder Blush

I purchased two of these: Sweat Pea and Warm Hibiscus. Both are light pink shades and they’re gorgeous. They look really natural on the skin, giving the impression of a natural flush.  They blend out like a dream and aren’t too pigmented. I absolutely love them! The floral stamp is a really cute touch too.

Light Illusion Concealer

Unlike the foundation, the concealer is a lot lighter in consistency and less thick. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy not to over-use the product and it blends out really easily with either fingers, Blendiful or brush. I’ve used all three ways, and there isn’t a preferred way to apply. It is a beautiful concealer for brightening under the eyes, but it also provides coverage too. I have worn this a fair bit, and I haven’t noticed any excessive creasing under my eyes.

Heatwave Luminous Bronzer

I have the lighter shade of this and like the blush shades it blends out beautifully. The shade that I have is an ashier shade, so it’s ideal for contouring. I would say this bronzer is more on the matte side than luminous but I have been looking for something that I can use more to contour, and this is gorgeous. I really like this bronzer; I may have found a dupe for the Younique Beachfront Bronzer that I enjoy using so much.

Petal Pout Lip Colour

These are a regular lipstick formula. They are very glossy without smudging all over the place. The formula isn’t sticky and lasts a long time on the lips. They don’t dry my lips out and feel really comfortable.

Miracle Matte Lquid Lipstick

The final item on this list is of course a liquid lipstick. I picked up the shade Rosewood and it is a gorgeous dark nude shade. The formula itself is a little weird. It doesn’t smudge, although it doesn’t dry down completely. It also doesn’t feel sticky, which is fantastic. I do enjoy them, but I think that I prefer the Jeffree Star formula.

From what I have tried so far, I am impressed with the quality of everything that I’ve tried. I am looking forward to trying more in the future. The mascara and primers look amazing.

What have you tried from Flower Beauty? Is there anything that you would recommend?

Have a lovely day guys, and take care.

Bye for now!
